Kingdom Musician Camp 2007 was definitely a great time
for the many people in attendance, from campers to
staffers.
Besides typical camp activities like relay races,
swimming in the pool, basketball and volleyball games,
and nightly bonfires, the Kingdom Musician Camp placed a
strong emphasis on spirituality, with a Wednesday night
worship service being the highlight for many of the
campers, as God's presence was so strong that people
didn't want to stop praising the Lord.
Campers were encouraged to have confidence in their
relationship with Jesus Christ, with two key scriptures
heralded as ones to remember: "Seek first the kingdom
of God and His righteousness and all things shall be
added unto you," along with "I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me."
The Kingdom Musician Camp
included morning prayer, breakfast, music classes for
singers, drummers, pianists, guitarists, and clarinet
and trumpet players, music seminars on topics like
publicity, copyrights, and artist management, followed
by lunch, sports and recreational activities, team
tournaments, dinner, worship services, bonfires, and
cabin time.
Youth For Truth
drama group came to the camp to perform a play entitled
“Second Chance”. This drama deals with young people and
the choices they face in this world regarding things
like faith, sex, and bullying, just to name a few.
On Friday night the camp main building was transformed
into an elegant auditorium, complete with a red carpet,
tiki torches, streamers, spotlights, icicle lights, and
more, for the Awards Show and live CD recording.
By Saturday, staffers and campers were hugging one
another, exchanging emails, and getting ready to return
home.
